Democracy is in peril.
   This blog began  when we thought Donald Trump was a disturbing, but limited threat,
   Now, the country is faced with a resilient campaign by Trump and his Republicans, which already has weakened our country and is attempting to destroy it.
   There are positive, powerful forces at work to counter these forces and continue reforms to make the country live up to its promises.
   This blog means to give them voice and encouragement.
